HVAC Replacement at Mount Washington Elementary School #221
Baltimore, MD

Scope of Work

J. F. Fischer, Inc. (JFF) was responsible for the removal of existing classroom unit ventilators, heating air handlers and associated piping work. Two new rooftop air handling units, an air-cooled condensing unit, and an air-cooled chiller replaced this equipment at the three-story school. JFF provided and installed a rooftop acoustic enclosure for the new air-cooled chiller and structural platforms for the rooftop units. JFF also modified the existing structural steel beam support and installed new structural members to accommodate the new rooftop equipment, acoustic enclosure and equipment platforms. In addition, new distribution pumps, piping, and systems were furnished and installed. The heating water supply and return pumping systems to a dual temperature system serving the new heating/cooling unit equipment was upgraded. Also, the existing ATC system was upgraded to incorporate control of the existing/new HVAC equipment. A new electrical switchboard, circuitry and wiring for the new mechanical equipment was furnished and installed.

JFF remediated existing architectural components incidental to the installations of the new mechanical and electrical HVAC equipment including, but not limited to gypsum drywall repairs, new gypsum shaft wall installations, painting, new windows and louver installations.
